It is inevitable that your dentures will feel strange and perhaps uncomfortable immediately after fitting. Speech may be difficult at first and it does take time to learn how to eat normally whilst wearing dentures.
Ensure you keep the dentures thoroughly clean by using the products in the denture starter kit provided. Avoid using harsh abrasives and over-soaking.
An appointment will usually have been arranged for you for approximately one week after fitting. Make sure you have worn your dentures for a few days before this appointment to enable the dentist to see where any adjustments may be necessary. Unless you are experiencing severe pain, please wear your denture as much as possible until your next appointment.
